General’s Kitchen

Making all of their food from scratch, General’s Kitchen strives to “deliver the best in food, drink and service to every guest, every time.” You may remember seeing them on 74th St., or if you’ve been coming to Ocean City since the 70’s or 80’s, you may even remember their original location below the George Washington Hotel on 10th St. and the Boardwalk. Now, located on 66th St., General’s Kitchen has delicious options for everyone, even a Weight Watcher’s Tuna Salad!

 

Barn 34

Ever had a “Skinny Dude” or “The Hangover”? They’re not what you think! Located on 34th St., Barn 34 not only has creative names for the menu items, but also many mouth-watering breakfast options. Try out “The Beach Babe” scrambled eggs with sauteed onions, potatoes, peppers, chorizo and home fries wrapped in a burrito topped with salsa and melted cheddar cheese, or the “Bagels and Lox” smoked salmon, sliced-thin red onion, tomatoes, capers with a bagel and cream cheese. Open at 7am daily!

 

Bayside Skillet

Waterfront dining, a pet-friendly outdoor bayfront deck, and a full service bar for those homemade Bloody Mary’s and freshly squeezed mimosas… what more could you ask for? Bayside Skillet on 77th St. is famous for serving overstuffed omelets, and have every kind, from plain eggs to a seafood omelet, made with jumbo lump crab, shrimp, and scallops with diced scallions. Crabcake Factory

Lobster Tail, Surf and Turf, and the “Original” Crab Lumps Benedicts go perfectly with Crabcake Factory’s famous Bloody Mary! The Original Crabcake Factory on 120th St. oceanside is open for breakfast 8am on the weekends, and 11am Monday-Friday.

 

Layton’s Restaurant

Offering a gluten-free menu, Layton’s on 92nd St. has everything from pancakes to omelets to breakfast specialty meals. The best part about Layton’s? They serve any meal at any time! Open 6:30am-3pm, you can stop in at two in the afternoon and order eggs and bacon!

 

Fractured Prune

If you’re looking for a quick stop to grab breakfast before spending the day in the sun, head into Fractured Prune for some unique, delicious donuts made from scratch right in front of you. It doesn’t matter if you’re down by the boardwalk, mid-town, or up north-- there are multiple locations along Coastal Highway! Shmagel’s Bagels

Malia’s Cafe

With indoor and outdoor seating as well as carry out options, Malia’s Cafe is open 7am-2pm. On 18th St. right off the boardwalk, Malia’s serves breakfast and lunch, and offers vegetarian options. Locals say the “service is fast and friendly,” and that the “food is made fresh with love.”

There is also a little rumor going around that when they’re busy, they pass around free mini muffins to waiting customers!
